| Artist's Statement
We are in an age of digital printing and computer manipulation. As I appreciate many aspects of this type of work, I prefer creating works of art with a pure photographic approach. My enhancements are integrated into the exposure, literally becoming a part of the captured moment from which nothing is ever added or taken away. Therefore, each photographic monoprint becomes my interpretative reflection of a specific place and time. As an artist, I direct my attention to the magnificence of nature. My focus is to stimulate the consciousness of the viewer to explore the grace, beauty and harmony of any subject matter. My experiences have taught me that there is a great deal to appreciate about the basic fundamentals of photography, with so many new and exciting approached with traditional photographic means. My goal is to share these enriching discoveries with patrons of fine art. |
